Hello! I did my Masters in Agriculture Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for 2015 -December 2017 and Bachelors (H.) in Plant Biotechnology. I did Masters research work in Azotobacter and need a job where I can put my Masters work experience into valuable and useful work. I applied for projects with just only Master degree and it did'nt seem of any worth to anyone. I would appreciate any advice you have.
There is very little scope to get a job in Agricultural Microbiology. In Agricultural biotechnology you can get jobs in India if you have experience in Breeding and marker technology. There are many seed companies located in Hyderabad and Aurangabad. The best option for you would be to write NET exam and join for Ph.D. With respect to research projects you wrote, select a mentor who works on modern areas and write the project in consultation with the Scientist/Faculty member. Agricultural Scientist recruitment exam is another option for you. You can easily join Ph.D if you are not particular about location and there are number of Central Institutes which conduct spot admissions.
You can apply to Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Institutions, Molecular Biology Labs, Genetic Engineering Labs etc.
