Statistical method is one of the basic tool for conclusion in research. What are the guidelines for selection of correct statistical method/test in research articles.
In fact, this is a broader discussion, and I don’t know how precise or logical it is to simply say it here. Because there is no shortage of statistical methods or tests, and each method or test is used for different type of data (for example, Nominal categorical vs Nominal categorical, we use chi square test. Nominal categorical vs Ordinal categorical some one use gamma measure, continuous vs continuous Pearson correlation test and so on) .
