Hello dear professors: Please advise on the materials used in acidic, neutral and alkaline antiscalants and also how to prevent the adhesion of polyacrylic in antiscalants to the membrane surface in water containing iron.
Antiscalants are categorized into acidic, neutral, and alkaline types, each using different materials like phosphonates and polyacrylic acids to prevent scale formation. To prevent polyacrylic adhesion to membranes in iron-rich water, optimize dosage, pre-treat feed water, implement regular cleaning, use compatible antiscalants, and monitor water chemistry.
