I am looking at a way to better assess strengths of individuals within a collaborative organization, how can I best evaluate their individual strengths through a single deploy-able metric?
The gold standard for strength testing is isokinetic dynamometry (for example: Biodex dynamometer). If you are unable to have one at your disposal, a much cheaper and easier alternative is the assessment of hand grip strength via hand dynamometry. It has been shown that there is a correlation between isometric hand grip strength and isometric knee extension strength in healthy subjects.

That is a really great answer Tim. I appreciate you taking the time. Perhaps I should have been clearer though. I was referring to interpersonal strengths, trait-based strengths, and group potential metrics for groups who are working on large projects, or committee to accomplish a timely goal. That's definitely a completely different form of strength you are looking for. Sorry, can't help you with that, my expertise is limited to muscular strength.
I'd suggest to think of an alternative to the keyword "strength" because most probably you will primarily address Researchgate's sports and exercise scientists with this term. Just my two Cents. ;)
