My diffraction spectrum from Mg-Al LDH with intercalated carbonate and hydroxide lost its 003(hkl). The 006 is small but visible similar to 015. Other peak intensities remained the same. Albeit 012 is a bit lower than usual. I presume this cannot be a guestion of delamellation or preferred orientation. Could sample preparation or instrumentation be the reasons for such phenomenon? We carried the study out with Bruker D8 Discovery (2theta: 5-100 deg.) that was eqquipped with a HI-Star 2D and pressed our samples gently to amorphous silica holder with the aid of ethanol.
