I feel hat it becomes more and more difficult to publish. in high or medium ranked journals ..and this is not only my opinion but also of other colleagues. Why? I think that the answer is not very easy...

The answer is easy enough in my mind.
More and more academics 'want to' (that more likely means 'need to') publish to fulfil their academic contracts and gain promotion and/or recognition. Some call it the 'publish or perish' phenomenon. The more academics that have to fulfil this requirement - the more competitive the publishing market becomes - hence the more recent burgeoning of the 'open access' market.
Dear Dr. Dean Whitehead I do agree with you but it is not so simple. Experts have made the scientific evaluation of our colleauges on published research papers and that too in high Impact Factor journals. That is also a very important reason of over loading and dela in publication. Thanks
