Remaining dentin thickness has a great role during root canal instrumentation of mesial root of lower molar due to presence of danger zone between mesiobuccal and mesiolingual canal and I ask about any significance for root canal preparation of buccal root of upper molar
The same concern would apply to the maxillary molars and potentially even more so, especially as it relates to canal centering with all types of files, their applications and the number of canals and their position. Strip perforations and cracks in the cementum can occur very easily and not be seen on a periapical radiograph. Weakening of the root in this manner may make it susceptible to root fracture. Note also that the vast majority of the roots (MB) are curved already and this adds another safety concern.
SafeSiders endo files (EDS) may prevent a strip perforation as they have a one-side flat, non-working surface.

There is no perfectly straight root in nature as well as perfectly shaped root canals.
In dental schools the anticurvature and balanced force filing technique is taught to dental students to alert them of the danger of strip perforation should they ignore the rules.
I am not conversant with the use of safe sided files mentioned by Dziedzic and would like him to discuss more on his experience using these files as compared with standard root canal files
There is little more to be added to what Dr. Gutmann has said. However, as a clinically useful tip, I would suggest the judicious use of rotary instruments in these types of canals. It is often an overzealous preparation in a circular pattern (as created by avid use of rotary files) that sets up a root for strip perforations and weakening. Use of rotary files may be splendid for coronal flaring and enlargement coronal to a curvature, but apical preparation is safest with a hybrid technique combining hand files and less aggressive rotary files.
