There is a significant number of intellectuals who claim that the Earth is flat and not a globe. They believe that there is not a true theory of the helicentric but should be returned to the theory of the geocentric system. This question is very interesting and there is evidence for one and the other theory.

Study the history, dear Jack, before Newton's discovery, where epicycloid orbits were assumed, then look at Newton's discovery.

Study how it was discovered that Mercury has a perihelion advance around the Sun, and look how LeVerrier has calculated with Newton's theory how that is occurring.

By simple dynamics, it is physically impossible for a free macro body to orbit around another moving body in any type of geometrically closed path. Then how is it possible for planets to revolve around the sun or the sun to orbit around earth. In either case, we are dealing with apparent relative locations of these bodies with the central body in assumed static state. Apparent orbits are suitable to determine relative positions and to predict (annual) cyclic phenomena. In this case, it is equally valid to consider earth orbiting around the sun or sun orbiting around earth. See: Shape of orbital path

Dear Nainan, with one very small mass orbiting a very large mass, we get an almost perfect closed orbit. Only due to larger planet, or by other orbiting masses, or due to the Solar system's motion in the Milky Way, that can change.

Regarding flat Earth believers, there is no evidence in your references, it are just opinions.

The problem is that the governments, especially the US government and the CIA/FBI, but also the communist and sick power seakers have been manipulating and lying on so many issues of history, economy, education, even on nowadays issues, and there are so many cover-ups and false flag cover-ups, so many deceivers who corrupt the normal evolution of education, economy, science, that they obtained a completely corrupt system, which is their objective.

They created division, hatred, wars, economic crises, etc.

Nothing is true, all is lies nowadays.

All matter-bodies (and groups formed by them), except stable galaxies, have to have translational motion to exist in nature. Therefore, I believe that solar system is a moving system of macro bodies. This makes it impossible for planetary bodies to revolve around their central body (sun) in geometrically closed paths. See: Planetary orbits

The above discussion inspired me to the following considerations:

Why are there still people in the 21st century who in some countries do not accept the prevailing knowledge confirmed by scientific research who believe that the Earth is not round is only flat or that the Earth is the center of the Solar System, not the Sun or negating the process the evolution of the origin of various life forms on Earth, etc.?

In my opinion, it is not a question of faith but a lack of knowledge confirmed by scientific research. It is strange, however, that in the 21st century, in the face of the facts widely confirmed in the media, confirmed in many aspects scientifically, on the basis of experiments carried out, space expeditions are still people who ignore this widely available knowledge in the media and create their unjustified theories.

No wonder that even a few centuries ago and before, i.e. in a situation of widespread illiteracy and lack of universal access to knowledge and information, in the absence of media it was easy to maintain, promote anachronistic and illogical theories to implement a specific information policy for the needs of maintaining absolute power, which one of the attributes was access to knowledge and information deliberately restricted for a large part of society, and in some epochs, such as, for example, in the Middle Ages, deliberately limited research possibilities and deliberately placed barriers to the development of science. In such realities, totalitarianisms are easily formed and it is easy to carry out indoctrination of the society by propagating even illogical, unjustified ideologies that are not supported by any scientific research.

Therefore, nowadays access to knowledge and results of scientific research should be universal and unlimited. A large positive role in this matter is played by the Internet and Internet portals such as the Research Gate portal.
