how to use wavefront minimization in Abaqus. I have pressure perturbation in a harmonic function imposed on a structure and I observe the changes in this pressure perturbation during each iteration in a static analysis. However, I noticed that there are formations of waves between each node on the contact surface. Someone suggested this command:
*step
*static
*wavefront minimization, nodes, method=1
1, 5501
but Abaqus gives a warning that the keyword may be obsolete. I have attached here the result of the perturbation. Any suggestions.
Wave front is old solver,when computer hw has limited ram...currently we use iterative solver.
Venkateswarlu Gattineni Thanks for the reply, this is a 2D model and according to abaqus, iteractive solver can only be used in a 3D element. I actually trying to fix the wavy nature of the pressure between each nodes. Any suggestion?
Most likely the reason of such pressure oscillation lies in hourglassing of linear elements.
