We have a specific Glycoprotein molecule derived from a leaf extract. Although the chemical nature of the compound was verified to be of a Glycoprotein, no structural detail is available yet. A cell surface Glycoprotein receptor was identified, with which this Glycoprotein interacts strongly. Since, it is known that Beta-1,3-Glucan structures interact directly with this receptor, we wish to know, whether such Glucan structures are present at the peripheries of the Glycoprotein. Can anyone please suggest me any possible experimental strategy or protocol to verify the presence of such Glucans in the Glycoprotein? Please help me. Thank you in advance.
