I would like know if it is possible make a good dose response curve to angiotensin II in mice aorta. Some works show a very poor constriction. The age of mice or the segment of aorta could influentiate?
I have been using mouse aortic ring segments in myograph experiments also from older mice (8 month). It is true, constriction and dilation is reduced to a great extent.
After some experiments, the aorta reactivity of the mice works best in the abdominal aorta and if the angiontesine curve starts at 10-9. Minor concentrations are not responsive and encourage the receiver to internalize, hindering the later points of the curve. Another point is the curve should be made faster, to avoid interference from internalization.
