unfortunately I don't know which weightning scheme is implemented in AMOS. But you could have a look at Rigdon (2016) where a whole subsection is about measurement error in PLS perhaps it helps.

@ FLorian, agreed with you that predicting power of Amos towards variance based structural equation modeling had not be fully explored in social science studies. I do have standard better understanding of both Amos and SmartPls and noticed the robustness Amos over Smarpls, Thanks for sharing
