Hye all;
As per attached was my graph validation for plain journal bearing by using engine oil (SAE20W40), Yellow graph is my data which i run by using CFD ANSYS FLUENT whilst the red graph is an experiment data. As the validation part, I need to validate the simulation data with the experiment data. Any idea on which parameter that i need to adjust so at least I get similar or at least error less than 10%. Or the graph already ok. Need suggestion from an expert here.Thanks again.
More details needed from your side. What model did you use, what oil? Are the properties function of temperature?
why your static pressure at zero degree of rotation is -50000 kilo pascal, while it should be zero? boundary conditions?
Have you done grid independency study? I think finer grid at crtical areas will be helpful. Share your geometry. Zuraidah Rasep
Ahmad K. Sleiti Amol Ganjare thanks for your suggestion and reply...i changed the experiment data reference to other journal sources. Yes i manage to get the validation between experiment and numerical study. Before this maybe the source that i refer there something that i tried to adjust but still cannot get same as numerical data. After change to other experiment data from other journal i get the graph same with experiment data for my numerical simulation. Thanks ya.
