This is the first time I have seen an expiration date on tissue culture plasticware.

I understand the date is from 2020. I would follow the standards, but I do think these dates are approximate. (I would not trust them). Cell culture is normally delicate.

I agree with your comment on coating.I am trying to say cell cultures are very delicate material and they normally set dates, they would mean something mean something the vast majority of the cases. The dates are aproximate too. I mean the dates on cell culture are not as aproximate in cell culture. In fact they are very small range. Plasticware generally do not have a date but depending on the use (and nowadays) may have date. I m unware if by several reasons this must be for any use. Maybe say it is a question on nowadays. (recently changing conditions)

Steingrimur Stefansson, these are uncoated transwell inserts so I am going to use them. Maybe it is part of the business to put expiration dates on these articles. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

As I say,it may be these new dates set to the products. As I say, all products have a security date, and it may even last for months. I am not sure up to how much... Cell cultures are a delicate matter, maybe you are just about into the margin. It was a new item introduced some years ago. Even the most insignificant plastic ware has a date. Maybe less than glassware, but still they must have a date... The are starting to be more strict with plastic ware than glass ware
