There are a variety of consumer grade EEG headsets that are available in the market, to name a few are EMOTIV, Muse, OpenBCI.
I have got the opportunity to work with EMOTIV 14 channel EEG headset. The advantage is that it is cost effective relatively. But requires license to use. The disadvantage is that the electrodes erode over time. So, need to buy them at intervals. The contact quality also needs to be checked over time if the person has thick hair on head.
