It's been a while that I have been looking for a novel way to use solar energy for cooking. My focus is more on a system which is portable and easy to use with a structure like a common oven toaster. Then, I found a way to use a concentrator (no matter mirror or lens) with a copper rod absorber instead of using an absorber tube containing a working fluid. Then, I will connect this central copper absorber to two or three copper coils as the main source of heating for pots containing food. But, I am not sure how much this would be possible and even efficient.

Thank you Mohamed for providing the document. As can also be seen in this report, the copper tubes are widely used in solar thermal system which containing a working fluid. But, using copper coils as the heating elements with concentrated solar radiation as a source has not been reported.
