08 August 2017 3 10K Report

I have conducted a study with one within subject factor (testing pre and post training [scale]) and one between subject factor (Training 1 and Training 2 [nominal]).

There are 6 different test areas, 3 of which are related to each of the training programmes. During post test, participant will be asked similar, increasingly difficult questions, but will not be identical to test 1 (so as to eliminate learned responses).

I would like to know what analysis would be best suited to my study for the 6 areas. My reasearch questions are:

Does training 1 influence performance on any of the 6 testing areas, particularly the 3 related areas?

Does training 2 influence performance on any of the 6 testing areas, particularly the 3 related areas?

I understand Anova would allow me to test difference of means while ancova will account for covariate (pre-test scores), but even after plenty of research, I find it difficult to fully grasp which one will best answer my research questions?

Any other advice would be appreciated.

Thank you
