Hi im currently writing my final year project up and am struggling on deciding which method of statitical analysis is best.
I performed research on cricets and recorded the peaks per second of their nerves, along with the average amplitude of the nervous transmission over the 5 minute test. I tested a control group and 2 different groups with a dilution series of 8 concetrations and now its come to the analysis im unsure how to actively analyse and presnt this data.
Mostly im looking to compare to the control group so i can assess how these drugs work, and whether that i shown in the crickets. However i dont really have a clue where to start.

It is always good to start planning the experiments and knowing how to analyse the data before collecting them!
Anyway, you can check if the response can be modelled with the concentrations, then compare this model with the control group.

Hi, a real interesting research, I recommend you first to do a normality test, a comparison test of the means according to the different treatments (anova, ..).
there are several statistical tests and it depends on your intention, the nature of your variables and the software used.
