There are different types of articles, but which has more value in our curriculum, a letter to the editor, a editorial, an original article, a review article , I would like to know your opinions
For myself,I find that original articles or review articles tend to catch my eye more than letters or even editorials.
My reasoning is that letters and editorials sometimes contain opinion or feedback, whereas an original article or review mostly does not.
I also feel that original work or reviews of multiple studies usually bring something new to a topic, and my filtering of what I read is reflected by that.
It depends on the researcher , sometimes review papers have a high contribution to the research if the review paper focus on specific area, however both the original papers and review papers are integrated to have high impact for any research
Dear Dr Catia Cillóniz Generally, Original articles are considered important, but in some cases the review article will have more importance because it tries to review what has happen in that field so far, and helps to come under some conclusion.
I agree with the view of Dr Muataz Hazza F. Al Hazza .
Original articles are held in higher esteem. If the author had to revise it due to editor's or reviewers' comments it is still considered of high value. Review articles may be useful but are held in less esteem
