I want to use Geothermometers based on plagioclase-liquid equilibria (Putirka, 2008). The excel sheet requires pressure data to be filled up along with the mineral analyses of feldspars.
I don't have any pressure data. How to proceed?
You can use solvocalc program
Dear Dr Adel, I don't have Solvocalc. Will you please share any link/ excel file or some format so that I can use it?
Or, can you help me in getting the details from where I can procure the software?
Thank you
Hi, if i find new solvocalc version in my pc, i send it for you.
If you study granitic rocks, for S-type granite 5-7 kbar and I-type 10-15 kbar pressure is suitable.
Dr Saki, can the thermometry be applicable when both the feldspars are hydrothermal in origin? What could be the expected pressure condition ?
Hello, yes. Pressure for hydrothermal is 1 kbar.
Dear Ajoy,

This is a Miocene limestone thin section and the specimens is probably belongs to the larger benthic foraminiferal group.

This is from Miocene limestone and we are thinking this is a section of larger foraminifera.
