Yes, it will be so in many places around the world. Tourism and travel after the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic will change by the current pandemic. Currently, due to systemic restrictions related to the issue of anti-pandemic security instruments and crisis management, international travel is currently very difficult. On the other hand, when the pandemic expires, the key factor modifying the tourism sector will be the progressive climate change, including in particular the global warming process. In the future, it will be developed, among others sustainable tourism operating in line with the goals of sustainable development and social environmental (ecological) responsibility. Perhaps the Coronavirus pandemic will accelerate this transformation in tourism.
I like to think so, but soon after the flights are available again, the same circus will start and the same pollution will continue. Everybody, who was able to afford, is waiting for eagerly to continue the lifestyle as before.
At least, we can as scientists spare the environment by attending more webinars instead of traveling to all the conferences. This will save time, nerves and the planet a bit.
