Tool broke when I welded with EN 30 steel?
You can weld with typical tool materials, which are used for steel, titanium and similar "high abrasives". e.g. W-Re, W-LaO or PCBN tools
I am assuming that you are welding Aluminum matrix discontinuous composites (it is not completely clear from your question). If that is true, a good, relatively low cost alternative tool material is Ferro-TiC: http://www.ferro-tic.com
