I'm a novice researcher, and one aspect of research I'm interested in is acceptable practices and creativity in the language researchers use when writing research questions. I'm particularly interested to hear from researchers in any field who have a view on the kinds of language forms in research questions that identify with particular research paradigms (e.g. 'goes on' with ethnography), and why that might be so.
My experience is that researchers think that there is a "correct way", but this changes a lot. Interdisciplinary fields, such as socio-legal studies, tend to be more open with creative writting, while law scholars strongly believe that there is a right way and a wrong way. These relates to fields I know, but friends in anthropology or sociology also face questions regarding a certain ortodox way in which to frame research questions, and research in general. I believe that interdisciplinary fields tend to draw people that already challenge the limits and structures of their original fields of study, and this makes them more welcoming of creative proposals and solutions. Nevertheless, I also believe that originality is worth a try, even if you end up toning it down for institutional pressure or conviction that what you were thinking is perhaps not so useful for your own communication aims.
In philosophy, the correct way is to ask a logically coherent question that uses precise technical terms and promises, through future answers, to expand the domain of knowledge.
There is no correct or wrong way in a research question, a paper, or a thesis, in current globalized era, comparatively; because partially, skill and expressions are becoming the common points among institutes and networks. Essentially: (1). The type of question and its literature are depend on the related audience, and the its culture; because language or communication (no matter in what subject) is the essential part in each communal culture to absorb. (2). The clarity, and flow of the question with a reasonable length would be another helpful part of choosing a research- question.There has been some questions that their twisted terminology, and lengthy sentence not merely is confusing, but also has multiple focal points. Generally, simplicity, and a straight forward question would be beneficial to readers, and writers as well.
Read and understand the way of expressions followed by the efficient seniors of your institution in their thesis. You will definitely find the way.
There is no short cut method. You have to learn the art of expressions from the good sources.

Research questions and the hypotheses thereof are based on your research title. All you have to do is to change your title into a question or questions.- yes/no, or wh-questions. Notably, the hypotheses are your answers to the questions raised.

There is no correct way to write your research questions. You can just evaluate your questions to realize if they would be effective research questions or if they need more revising.
1) Is your research question clear? With so much research available on any given topic, research questions must be as clear as possible in order to be effective in helping the writer direct his research.
2) Is your research question focused?
3) Is the research question too broad or too narrow?
4) Research questions must be specific enough to be well covered in the space available.
5) Is your research question complex? Research questions should not be answerable with a simple “yes” or “no” or by easily-found facts. They should, instead, require both research and analysis on the part of the writer.
6) Is the research question one that is of interest to the researcher and potentially to others? Is it a new issue or problem that needs to be solved or is it attempting to shed light on previously researched topic.
7) Is the research question researchable? Consider the available time frame and the required resources. Is the methodology to conduct the research feasible?
8) Is the research question measureable and will the process produce data that can be supported or contradicted?
