In Kirby–Bauer antibiotic testing, it is easy to label bacteria as sensitive, intermediate or resistant. There is a standard method with standard classification as recommended by NCCLS.

When you apply this method with crude plant extract, is it logic to use the same standard??

It is difficult to compare the crude which containing many "unknown" phytochemical molecules with standard antibiotics!

A paper of mine is rejected from Q1 journal for that reason.

Thanks in advance for your time and fruitful discussion.
