Hello, to detect antibiotics residue in wastewater by UPLC- MS/MS, how to calculate the targets based on the chemical structure to set up method. I will detect 3 antibiotics. just need to put their chemical structures to compare the targets and the peaks? Thanks in advance.

Hi.
You can check databases such as mzCloud, MassBank or METLIN to see if your analyte (s) is there. They have MS and tandem MS info after different ionisation techniques and with different detectors for millions of compounds. Alternatively, you can do it yourself with your instrument. Using ESI, for example, isolate de molecular ion and then break it with different energies to maximise the signal for quantification.
