In the current situation of urbanization, anthropogenic activity, El nino, Landuse cover change and even many other factors are influencing huge variation in spatiotemporal variation of rainfall. I wish to address influence of these factors on my research study area i.e., Coastal region and Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. Am requesting to suggest me the proper way to achieve the criteria. Please suggest me the recent papers who are working in this area, data source of my region.

Hi Vinay,
I don't know what spatiotemporal scale you are working, but you can use datasets such as TRMM and GPM. TRMM has 25 km spatial resolution and GPM 5 km providing rainfall estimates from monthly to 30 minutes temporal scale. Although, keep in mind that estimates quality decrease with smaller temporal scales. GPM has data from April 2015 to the present and TRMM since 1998. Those data are avaible here:

Regarding landuse and landcover changes you might that a look in the MODIS global data product with 500 m spatial resolution:

The main causing of climate change as well as precipitation variability is increasing the concentration of radiative forcings because of lulc changes and co2 emissions.
My suggestion is that first you should read several articles relevant to your topic of research. Then you will get an idea regarding which factors are more influencing costal environment.
