Hi All, I'm curious if any of you have used this model of tissue dissociator for mouse spleens or lymph nodes before?

The website says it can work for spleens, but there is no mention of nodes. I'm just looking for someone's first-hand experience. Thanks all!

Actually, I don't have experience with gentleMACS Octo Dissociator but I have an alternative for you. For dissociating mouse lymph nodes we usually used the glass tool on the attached picture. Simply, we added the lymph nodes in 1 mL of RPMI medium and used this tool to gently press them to the bottom of the petri plate with circular movements and this way the cells from the nodes get released into the medium without any harm and can be used for experiments. Leftover tissue debris of the lymph nodes we just took out with a tip of pipette.
