Hello,

I am trying to model a steel shear wall system. The system comprises of 4 boundary columns (two back-to-back on each end), 4 beams (2 back-to-back, 1 pair on top and the other on the bottom) and an infill steel plate. My question is that would it be more realistic to model the interaction between columns and the infill plate as a tie constraint or surface-to-surface interaction with friction-less interaction property? Thanks
