I have synthesized Ti₃C₂ MXene using the MILD (Minimally Intensive Layer Delamination) method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis shows that the characteristic (002) and (104) peaks of the MAX phase have either disappeared or shifted toward lower angles, indicating successful MXene formation. However, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images do not exhibit the typical accordion-like morphology, suggesting limited etching and insufficient removal of the Al layers from the parent MAX phase. I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions regarding this observation.
