Teaching and supervising Masters and PhD research students is definitely challenging, but it comes with a price and a reward.  Are they always those who have good reason to do  PhD?  What are the characteristics of your research students that have good reason to pursue a PhD?  What are their virtues?  What are their ethics?  How did they cope with their work?
