In my opinion, this problem may be related either to air pollution or fish food specification (as Bayan Hussien referred) because this crisis occurred in both china and Iraq at the same time. maybe this case caused a genetic modification on the viruses to form (COVID-19) which transferred then to humanity.

May or may not ! Unless we have lot of data on lake, time of incidence,incomings of lake,industrial outbreak of gas or effluents ,any dumping of medical covid related waste.......etc ?

Need to find out what caused the deaths. First thing that comes to mind would be accidental chemical spillage or release into waters upstream of the lake. Need to determine what killed the fish first
