Dear Mycola
What was the question?
Dear Dikeos Mario,
I just did not see an option for "Comment"
and put it as a question.
Anyway, it seems that contacts between the present versions of QFT
and statistical physics are interesting and useful, though nearly nothing
about this can be found in the literature.
For example, with the appropriate choice of g^2~\epsilon=4-d,
I have found a one-to one correspondence between a g-expansion for the pressure of the authors
of the present project at order g^3 and the Casimir amplitude in one of our papers
at order \epsilon^{3/2} of the \epsilon-expansion near the dimension d=4.
Best regards,
Mykola
Dear Mykola
Although I have to read carefully what these people are doing I have the impression they
reinvent many wheels constructed in statistical physics before. They will eventually realize
that almost all relevant problems are many body problems.
when people realize the similarity in solving problems of field theory and many-body systems,
they come to very nice developments.
Examples are
QFT, Renormalization Group -> Phase Transitions and Critical Phenomena
Lifshitz point theory -> Lorentz violating theory -> Horava gravity
The present authors contributed very much to resummations in QFT.
In this respect the analogous Condensed Matter problems are not developed to the same extent.
Regards,
Dear Mycola f
I think Abricosov etall Ginzburg landau and condensed matter many bodqy problems
including critical fluctuations are more important than formal exercises in QFT with all
its singularities and weak connections to reality although they are better than the
cosmological bullshit of dark energies hidden matter parallel universes etc.
brainwashing people in the media.
Dikeos Mario
the important point is that problems in such apparently different fields
are often described by the same mathematics.
Then, using outcomes of "formal exercises" in one field can lead to
beautiful developments in another area.
I will download your papers read them and continue our converation later
Best regards
