Apart from Hermeneutics, what other epistemological positions are compatible with IPA?  Are there any articles outlining epistemological and ontological positions compatible to IPA?

Social constructionist (SC) epistemology, although more relevant to GT or TA, does complement IPA with regards to the emphasis on the subjective inter- relationship between participant and researcher. However, as IPA method is in-depth and seeks to gain an in-depth insight into participants sense-making, does it need additional philosophical framework/s to expand the length and breadth of the its (IPA) analysis? If so, which theoretical perspective would best suite and IPA research?

I will deeply appreciate your time and effort to provide any help, references and guidance is deeply appreciated as always.

Regards

Muhammad
