Dear Aimal...i agree with Prof Sebastian opinions. According from my past experience dealing with some sample such as Fe and U, each sattelite is unique for each oxide species. So both Cu+ annd Cu2+ have its own sattelite.We must notice that sattelite is useful as "fingerprint" for each valence.

Thank you very much for your answers. But in this website (http://xpssimplified.com/elements/copper.ph) mentioned that  In Cu (I) oxide, there is only a very weak satellite at 945eV. So how it is possible this satellite for Cu1+?

los picos primarios representan los estados de valencia del Cu, para este caso, y los satelites son los huecos, por lo tanto si pueden, sin embargo pueden no estar relacionados con los estados de oxidación.

The primary signals of Cu1+ 2p3/2 and Cu2+ 2p3/2 are very weak, in no way could the Cu1+ 2p1/2 and Cu2+ 2p1/2 branches be more intense, since they must comply with a relationship in the spin-orbirt division.

Why is there no Cu1s peak in the XPS spectrum, while it is easy to see the C1s, N1s, O1s peaks...
