What is the most suitable place to install large scale PV system in the GCC region? Justifications is important. Also, related papers are highly appreciated.

I think Oman is the most suitable area for install large scale PV systems in GCC Countries. This selection based on many valuable researches in this region that mentioned that Oman has the lowest dust concentration per year and a high solar intensity and moderate temperature compared with other GCC countries.

To simplify the question, we need to agree that the weather parameters are the most important keys. How much the solar radiation in the location? Temperature? Dust? Humidity? etc

I totally agree with you and I may add that the north part of Oman from Khasab to Muscat as an amazing place to install large scale systems, for many reasons!!!
In order to find the best place for solar enenrgy nit establishment we need to delineating dust (depositional rates, carbonates and mud content) -see attached papers- and weather conditions (humidity and temperature, solar radiation) to identify the ideal areas to establish a solar energy unit. Northern Arabian Gulf is the worst places , souther (west UAE) and western arears (Easten sides of aSaudi) re the best in the whole region.
