The system is mainly designed to operate during the feasibilityof daylight. But because pvt system can also generate electricity it can be used to store the electricity for later use (during no sun availability). In terms of cost is depends, if the system can store more energy then costing for battery storage probably will increase. Efficient might be good if the thermal can improve the electricity generation. Otherwise is not
Yes, store the produce energy for some applications , It is much needed . Like we can use this energy for condensation the vapor of water and later use this water to clean the PV/T system . Besides, we can used for heating and cooling purpose towards Green Houses.
