Does anybody knows that Highly cited Journals is faster responding to submission with COVID-19 topic (Especially Economics Journals), and what is the average time for response?
I post this question because that Data with COVID-19 topic quickly become obsolete.
Every suggestion is Welcomed as well as Journals recommendation.

It is the opposite. Highly cited journals are very slow. I have waited for 8-9 months to get the first feedback. I am not sure about Covid related articles but in this period there are plenty of submissions. Good luck.

My conclusion is that the situation is changing all the time, so no anyone can say an average response time overall. There is need to proceed at a way faster pace in the publication process and even that might not be enough. At the same time there is an overload of papers to be handled by editorial boards.
