The difference between the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) is that the IASC is the old name of IASB.
IASC was formed in 1973. The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), based in London, began operations in 2001. IASB is an independent standard-setting body of the IFRS Foundation.
