This pandemic is unique in many ways, but the fact remains that we can learn from past economic crises (for example, the global financial crisis) as well as from previous epidemics (for example, avian flu and swine flu, SARS, MERS, Ebola virus disease), which highlight the central role of employment, social protection and social dialogue in fight and recovery policies. In this regard, what lessons can be learned from this crisis?
Everyone will be very keen to get back to ‘normal’, but a key lesson from this crisis is that we will not be able to tell ourselves any more that there are no alternatives, or that there are not costs associated with our choices.
The thing I learned from this Covid-19 pandemic is that, health is a common good.
I think we learnt several lessons- 1) how valuable to study viruses particularly the coronaviruses, 2) the importance to review our health systems and readiness for emerging situations, 3) how we can adjust economy in emerging crisis such as that of COVID-19 4) the significance of online learning in such cases and how we can use it effectively.
In the challenging times everyone is going through, it’s crucial to respect your communities and audiences.
We have learnt what the roads are like without traffic, and found that this brings benefits.
Some people have learnt that the law still applies even though the roads are quiet and the car parks empty.

This crisis has already shown us that as humanity we must have a developed social consciousness, which usually becomes prominent in situations of risks and threats we are faced with.
A large number of young people are using their time to contribute to the society, through various forms of coordinated volunteering and precaution measures, through online activities and provision of support.
We adhere to the advised measures, but through our support, discussions, writing and organizing online events and activities we are helping keep the community morale high.
The virus pandemic showed us that we must build our resilience and that our health depends on each one of us. We are not responsible only for our own condition, but also for conditions of all those we were in contact with.
Taking proper infection control and prevetive measures is key!
