The situation that we encountered during the period of the Coronavirus Pandemic indicates the need to develop medical science in such key areas as conducting epidemiological studies aimed at studying both non-infectious and infectious diseases, including the search for new risk factors for the development of diseases and the development of effective measures to timely response of the healthcare system to existing and future challenges and threats to the health and safety of the population. National health systems need effective diagnostic tests and technologies for the early detection of diseases. Effective solutions and developments are also required in the field of rehabilitation of patients, while nurses, who make up the bulk of the medical staff in the health system and whose role in the issues of prevention and rehabilitation, are very important, should be actively involved in scientific research. One of the key tasks that medical science should focus on should be containment of antimicrobial resistance. And in this regard, it is necessary to conduct research and development to create new treatments and vaccines that are effective against infections, including those with multidrug resistance.
