The corona virus now impacting China and many other nations see transit through wastewater treatment plants. Wastewater treatment plants are major aerosol generators with derived aerosols transported miles distant. Also, recycled water and from these plants can harbor viruses and within China, there are peer-reviewed papers discussing superbugs from recycled water found in municipal parks. Who is working on this?

I've looked at a number of comments, many thanks for participating. Some mentioned that this is the responsibility of the local authority. While that may be true, and it looks good on the organization charts, I find that many local authorities are not adequately staffed, trained, or funded and additionally not have the authority needed. In some cases, these local jurisdictions do not even share an interest in problems like this, nor do they have any contingency planning. California would be a good example of a geographical area with adequate fiscal resources but also with such an incrementally disjointed overview and authority, that seriously addressing these issues sees confusion and non-action. In the interim, the pathogen expands.
