I've discovered that the curl-up-behavior of some ants while hunting prey can be regardless of the presence of stingers. I mean, most of us thought that curling up while hunting was regarded as inserting stinger into prey, but by what I've discovered, I think this is another proof that ants are cousins to bees. But it's hard to make a clear prove, so let me ask your opinion about this
I also found some ants without stingers do the curl-up-behavior too, so I think it's Evolutionary trait from bee.
