Hi,

I am currently trying to determine the water content of Diglycolic anhydride (DGA) by volumetric Karl Fischer

I am having problems getting an accurate reading (high drift, lack of clear endpoint, abnormal titration curve). I am quite sure that there are side reactions occurring which are interfering with the analysis. I have tried dissolving the sample prior to analysis but it did not fix the problem so i don't think it is a solubility problem.

The solvent used in the analysis is methanol.

Can anyone explain why this is not working or how I can analyse this sample?

Thanks,

David Williams
