I want to measure temperature in case of welding of Titanium alloy by using Tig welding.
I am thinking about thermocouple
So which thermocouple i can use and where i have to fix it on sample to be welded.
According to the TWI specification of titanium welding, during welding those parts of the weldment exposed to temperatures above 520°C

furthermore, the Titanium Melting point 1660°C, so the welding temperature not reach at these values in anytime.
The best way to measure these range of temperate is IR thermometer or thermal camera where I think it is not easy to locate the thermocouples in welding zone.
