In TecPlot, when I take a 2D slice and then visualize the mesh on it (Slices>Details>Other>Show Mesh), I see a very black slice because of the fine mesh. Can someone tell me how to skip every n-th grid point (or say 4th) on this slice?
I also tried this solution (http://www.tecplottalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1188) to extract a sub-zone by skipping points, but the extracted sub-zone did not appear in the list of zones, so I could not select it to be visualized.
Can someone please help me?
The objective is to visualize the mesh of the whole domain and to see the gird stretching.

As I know, it is not possible to do it because the mesh has a connectivity and some hierarchy. To draw the mesh without some nodes or elements, Tecplot would redo all mesh structure. But there is some workaround. You can create an ordered zone in Tecplot with i, j, k divisions ( a plane or a cube). The intend is only to have some grid to show with the features we want. But you can interpolate the data into a new zone through any method in Tecplot and show the new zone contour based on your data. Maybe this way helps you. Good look!

as Ricardo said, you need an ordered Mesh (Data -> Data set info -> Zone Info) to skip grid points. This is not the case, if you cut an generic slice through your domain.
In case you don't have a cubic domain structure, I don't see any easy way to do so..
What I did, was to generate the same mesh again, with fewer grid points. Than you can, as Ricardo said, interpolate your solution onto this mesh.
