Is there any specific rule for assigning a column for a factor in L27 orthogonal array with 4 factor having 3 level each? I am using Mini Tab software and also want to know how to assign a column to a interaction?
first two column meant for first two factors, next column for the interaction effect of both factors. some cases fourth column has assigned to third factor. it depends on the error % to that column. otherwise has to select the next column. then next two columns meant for interaction effects. better go through the fundamentals of taguchi's experimental design technique.
Why L27? you can investigate 4 factors on 3 levels with a central-composite design or box behnken. this would take you 25 runs and these arrays are cleaner in terms of their confounding structure.
