Syringe filter for decontaminating histopaque

If my histopaque is contaminated and I want to decontaminate it, what size of syringe filter should I use? Would 0.22um syringe filter work?

0.22um filter will work to decontaminate it from microorganisms. Take in account that endotoxins can still be present in solution after filtering.
