I wonder how cognitive rigidity play out in BPD and whether there are differences in how we define and assess different cognitive patterns? Especially “The idea that the answer is neither right nor wrong is difficult for the BPD patient to grasp”. What is the difference between the difficulty of “switching between thinking about two concepts” vs. "difficulty of thinking about two concepts simultaneously” in BPD patients? I wonder if there are any differences in these two cognitive patterns in BPD patients as well as across different psychopathology?
