Hi - hoping someone might be able to help me please?
I've had to totally change my MSc project as a result of COVID and as I can no longer do face to face testing, I have created a survey and collected my responses (219).
I have downloaded my data to upload to SPSS.
However, I am having a total brain fog as to where to start in terms of analysing/testing my survey data - what tests should I use etc..
I feel like I have completely forgotten everything I have learned about stats and having a panic! Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I recommend starting with hypotheses that specify an independent and a dependent variable. In other words, what kind of relationships do you expect between your key concepts and what statistical tests would you use to assess those relationships, based on the kinds of measures that you have.

I agree with @ David L Morgan and @ David Morse! You need to be clear about the hypothesis, identify the variables and nature of variables before starting the statistical analysis.

A survey generally includes several dimensions, and you might need to test the reliability of the dimensions. If you have some demographic variables, it might be interesting to examine the relationships between the demographic variables and the survey questions and dimensions. Hope this helps.
Define your oblectives and hypothesis. Analysis depends on that depending on type of variables.

Firstly you should start from you research question. Then you can use statistical methods related to you research questions or hypotheses. There are man methods like: Correlation coefficient, T-test, One Way ANNOVA. and ANCOVA. you can contact me for any help.

Look at your question or questions, "The Hypothesis"
If your survey was constructed to answer the question or questions, then the results should be a revelation to you. You should know your dependent and independent variables as this will help to find any correlations.
Research the different type of test, so you are able to present your results and findings with correct justification for example Excel has a list of tests used under the Add In Analysis ToolPak VBA for Data Analysis.
