I'm currently modelling the masonry wall in ABAQUS using simplified micro-modelling approach. My model didn't go really well, I believe could be something to do with the interaction definition.
Can someone share the cohesive interaction material properties with me?
What's the correct way to model the interaction? General contact > interaction properties etc?
In ABAQUS software many contact elements are available..ex. Goodman zero thickness interface element with surface to surface contact for 2-d analysis and volume to volume contact for 3-d analysis in available..the interface properties to be defined in terms of normal and shear stiffness. The interface primary unknown is the displacement normal to the contact surface is called normal displacement and the shear displacement at the contact surface.. i recommend you to read ABAQUS manual mainly to looking for contact elements and it details for further understanding in this aspects..ok all the best..
